Wheel 2: Altered Forms - Tuesday Evening

Service Description

NOTE: There will be no class the week of June 29th-July 5th. This session will be 7 weeks long but class will still meet 6 times. PREREQUISITE: Students are eligible only if they have already completed one 6 week Wheel 1 class at Cass Ceramics. In this 6 week class with instructor Lizzie Poock, students will throw basic forms on the wheel and learn to alter them using techniques like darting, devil's cutwork, and attaching multiple thrown pieces to create a single form. This unique approach combines wheel throwing and hand building to expand your ceramic skill set and the forms you can create. Class meets once per week for 6 weeks and includes all equipment, materials & firing for pieces made in class, as well as free access to open studio hours (Monday-Saturday 10am-5pm and Sundays 10am-4pm). Please note, we do not offer make up classes. Students are encouraged to take advantage of open studio hours to make up any missed classes with some independent practice. Private lessons are also available to currently enrolled students at a discounted rate. This class is designed for adults and will move at an adult pace. Teens ages 15+ are welcome to join. Kids and teens 14 and under are not eligible for this class but are encouraged to check out our kids and teens classes!
