Registration & Tuition
Class and workshop enrollments are limited and classes are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Pre Registration is required. Payment is due at time of registration; space will not be held without payment.
Please register early, as some classes fill soon after being made available on the website.
Discounts
We may offer occasional discounts and special offers as part of surveys or promotional campaigns. Instructions for redeeming them are included in the offers.
Discounts may not overlap. Only one discount is applicable to each enrollment.
Refunds & Credit
We reserve the right to cancel or discontinue any class, in which case you may choose to receive a refund, register for an alternate course, or receive tuition credit toward another class.
If you withdraw more than two weeks before a class begins, we will refund 100% of tuition paid minus a $20 processing fee. We issue no refund or credit if you withdraw less than two weeks before your class begins.
We do not refund tuition for classes students miss due to their own circumstances.
Make Up Classes
We do not offer make up classes. We are not able to offer refunds, prorated tuition, transfers, or make up instruction/materials if you miss classes. Please talk to your instructor about how to best catch up if you miss a class. Access to open studio time is a perk of our classes. We do not offer additional open studio access beyond what is included with class in the event that you are unable to take advantage of the allotted time.
Waivers
We require signed Waiver forms for adults and children which can be found on our website. A link to waiver forms will be shown as part of the bookings checkout process.
Studio Agreements
Please arrive promptly to class. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, you may be asked to only observe for part or all of the lesson.
Students are expected to learn relevant studio systems and protocols following class orientation and instruction. Students are encouraged to ask questions when unsure about studio systems and protocols. In particular, students must be well versed in studio safety and clean up procedures in order to access open studio hours.
Cass Ceramics classes are instruction based and follow a curriculum. Students are encouraged to take advantage of open studio hours to create pieces independently if project ideas fall outside of that curriculum.
Cass Ceramics is a community studio shared by many artists of varying ages and levels of experience. We have built many systems to ensure that all pieces successfully make it through all parts of the process and we ask that folks only handle their own pieces, but we can not protect against the occasional misstep that may result in the damage or destruction of a piece. Cass Ceramics is not responsible for replacing pieces that are damaged or destroyed by other students, staff, or other participants in the space.
Similarly, Cass Ceramics staff take great care in ensuring that all pieces will be successful in the kiln firings, but many things can happen in the kilns, including (but not limited to) cracking, bloating, pinholing, exploding, and sticking. Cass Ceramics is not responsible for replacing pieces that are damaged or destroyed during firing.
All participants at Cass Ceramics must receive a glazing lesson from a Cass Ceramics staff member before glazing at the studio. If you miss the glazing lesson in your class, please ask your instructor about alternative lesson options.
All students, staff, and others who access Cass Ceramics are expected to treat others with respect. This includes speaking to each other with basic kindness, using correct pronouns, and refraining from touching other people’s art.
