Surface Design: Color - Thurs Evenings

Service Description

PREREQUISITE: Students must complete one Wheel 1 or Hand Building 1 class at Cass Ceramics before taking this class. This class is an introduction to all things color & design! Students will explore various techniques including painting with underglaze, water etching, and stencils. Students will be provided with greenware tiles to practice these skills and will leave with a library of samples to apply to future projects. Please note, this class is focused entirely on building technique so students will take home their tile experiments but we will not be building additional projects during class time. Class meets once per week for 3 weeks and includes all equipment, materials & firing for pieces made in class, as well as free access to open studio hours (Monday-Saturday 10am-5pm and Sundays 10am-4pm). Please note, we do not offer make up classes. Students are encouraged to take advantage of open studio hours to make up any missed classes with some independent practice. Private lessons are also available to currently enrolled students at a discounted rate.       This class is designed for adults and will move at an adult  pace. Teens ages 15+ are welcome to join. Kids and teens 14 are not eligible but are encouraged to check out our kids and teens classes!
