Sgraffito Butter Dishes - Tues Evenings

Service Description

Build and decorate your own butter dish! Instructor Lizzie will lead students through building a butter dish, painting it with pigments, and then carving designs. No experience necessary. Class meets once per week for 3 weeks and includes all equipment, materials & firing for pieces made in class, as well as free access to open studio hours (Monday-Saturday 10am-5pm and Sundays 10am-4pm). This class will focus on creating and carving a butter dish. Cass Ceramics staff will fire and glaze the pieces and notify students when they're ready to pick up. Please note, we do not offer make up classes. Students are encouraged to take advantage of open studio hours to make up any missed classes with some independent practice. Private lessons are also available to currently enrolled students at a discounted rate. This class is designed for adults and will move at an adult pace. Teens ages 15+ are welcome to join.
