Ceramic Sampler - Friday Mornings

Service Description

Ready to dip your toes into the world of clay? In this 3 week sampler class, you'll try your hand at throwing on the wheel, sculpting by hand, and glazing. This is the perfect opportunity for you to check out our studio and get introduced to the basics of working with clay. Class meets once per week for 3 weeks and includes all equipment, materials & firing for pieces made in class, as well as free access to open studio hours (Monday-Saturday 10am-5pm and Sundays 10am-4pm). This class will focus on building skills in hand building & wheel throwing. Students will receive a glazing lesson at the end of the class and will have the opportunity to glaze some but not all of their pieces during class time. Students will return after the class session ends to pick up fired pieces and may choose to purchase a day pass at that time to glaze any remaining unfinished pieces. Please note, we do not offer make up classes. Students are encouraged to take advantage of open studio hours to make up any missed classes with some independent practice. Private lessons are also available to currently enrolled students at a discounted rate. This class is designed for adults and will move at an adult pace. Teens ages 15+ are welcome to join.
